Remembrance Day

It is important more than ever now for us to remember those that fought for our freedom.
Take a few minutes to reflect on what freedom means to you.
As I took a few minutes out of this busy Sunday(housework/paperwork🙄) to finish these earrings, they reminded me of what we must be thankful for this coming November 11th, and always.
The red colour reminded me of poppies.
I took the collage paper I had created while dying these and tore into bits to create my feelings about Remembrance Day ❤️

What are you thankful for in 2025?
Our Thankful Tree will be up and ready to be decorated this Wednesday November 12/25.
This tree began in November of 2020 for 3 purposes:
1. To give everyone an opportunity to write down something they were thankful for amidst the COVID mayhem.
2. It gave us an unique way to raise funds for the Manitoulin Family Resource who support our Island with the Food Bank, Women's Shelter, Daycare programs and much, much more.
3. A simple way to decorate our entrance Christmas tree.
It will be the 6th year, so I guess we can officially call this an 'annual tradition'!
How it works...
every time a customer comes in to our retail store from now till Christmas they fill out a gift tag with what they are thankful for and hang it on the tree.
when we are ready to take the tree down we count the number of tags on the tree and we donate $1.00 for every tag to MFR.
our customers are just responsible for filling out their gift tag.
This year to mix things up, we are opening it up to you, our MOB followers from a far!
All you have to do is click the GIFT TAG button below and send a note with ONE thing you are thankful for and we will fill out the tag for you!
Manitoulin Family Resource will be grateful for your participation! And us too!

November 14 & 15th will see our Downtown Businesses come together for the "Gore Bay Christmas Shopping Spree".

It's only 45 days till Christmas?
It is always amazing how quickly the holiday season creeps up on us.
I want to take this moment to thank everyone who participated in our 32nd Anniversary Celebration whether in store/online or through our social media posts.
